Giving Through Grants

HSBF is seeking grant applications from organizations and programs to improve the delivery of legal services to those in need, facilitate access to justice, increase public understanding of the law in Hawaii communities, and further HSBF's mission.

Policies

The grant application period opens in January of each year and ends no later than June 30* of each year.  The Foundation will disburse awards by August 31** of each year

*In light of the ongoing needs created by the pandemic, HSBF applications will be received on a rolling basis through August 31 for CY 2022.

**For CY 2022, awards will be disbursed on a rolling basis through October 31.
